We recently held a special edition of our annual driver’s contest: the Norba Sopbilscupen. Instead of meeting all the fantastic drivers at our premises in Kalmar, we organised an online edition of the Sopbilscupen, that at the same time celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.
Cancelling the Sopbilscupen was not an option for the team of Norba. They used their creativity to give the drivers the opportunity to compete in this online contest and for the winners of last year to retain the title. The number of participants broke earlier records with more than 16 enthusiastic teams and 32 participants.
How did this digital version work?
The teams had to answer several questions about our products. They could find the information on the new product pages on our website: www.geesinknorba.com/products
In addition, they had to fill in how many tonnes of waste they collect on a working day and the number of binlifts. It is an unbelievable amount of waste these heroes collect on a normal working day in Sweden.
Last but certainly not least: the teams had to send in a short film (maximum one minute) with a theme which was an equally important part of the evaluation.
The winners of the world’s first digital drivers contest this year are:
- Sydnärke’s Municipal Association with team Soperstars
- Participating: Madelen Södermark and Beatrix Eriksson Mård
In addition to the huge honour and fame, they also won free tickets for the next Sopbilscupen. A competition that – if the pandemic allows – will once again take place in Kalmar in September next year.
We would like to thank all participants for their enthusiasm. We will send out a consolation prize to the winners, and of course a diploma that should be clearly visible at work!
