Geesinknorba has received an order for three Kiggen PTO compactors from waste management company Urbaser in Denmark. The city of Copenhagen has ambitious goals for increasing waste amounts being recycled as well as the prevention of waste.
The first PTO- press, a compactor on chassis fitted with crane, has already been delivered and will be used to collect crane bins in city centers and suburban areas. Due to its compact size and lightweight construction the unit is ideal for driving in the (narrow) city streets in Copenhagen.
Waste management is not only about the disposal of waste. It is about ensuring efficiency in the whole process, innovative equipment and the productive use of waste. The compactors are efficient in compressing waste in a manner that leads to a reduction of waste, handling costs and less impact on the environment.
