Collecting underground waste in suburban areas has never been so easy. The Kiggen PTO compactor is easy to manoeuvre due to its modest rear overhang. Also, its compact size and low weight are perfect for driving in urban streets. No surprise that Avalex has chosen for this agile vehicle to face the daily challenges in the narrow city streets of Delft.
This vehicle has been developed in close partnership with Vervoer & Materieel, Volvo and HIAB keeping the high specification application of Avalex in mind. Therefore, Volvo has supplied a narrow track chassis with 285 pk engine and rear steer axle (6×2) to increase maneuverability. The total length of the vehicle is only 8410 mm compared to the standard length of 9.000 mm.
The HIAB X-HIPRO 232 E-3 crane has a lifting capacity of 1.880 kg and a reach of 10.7 m to work around any obstacle on the road. The support leg is extra small to meet the required maximum width of the vehicle of only 2.400mm.
The PTO compactor is easy and safe to use for the operators. The unit has a large funnel to be able to process large amounts of waste fast and smoothly. To increase efficiency the unit has a nett pay load of nearly 10.000 kg.
