Geesinknorba has received a large order for ten new Norba rear loaders from waste management company Urbaser. The units are already delivered and added to the fleet of vehicles from Urbaser A/S in Denmark.
All multi fraction vehicles have the dual compartment body with two separate tailgates and operational systems which have set the standard in the industry for separate waste collections.
The special lifter is a redesign of the well-known L500 lifter. The lifter can handle both 660 liter and duo containers which are commonly used in Denmark. The newly developed divider wall allows for collecting 660 liter containers in the smaller compartment. The extra storage boxes have a volume of 21 m³ and will be used to collect hazardous waste. The unit features the function ‘bin lift raise’ at 15 km allowing the unit to move slowly while collecting the bins without changing the position of the lift. When driving faster, the lifter is raised in a position that damage from road thresholds and other obstacles cannot occur.
The new design of the L500 lift offers a mechanical solution to meet the new CE regulations. That means light sensors are not necessary anymore to reduce the number of service interventions.
The body has a 21m³ body volume which offers high pay loads while maintaining the vehicle’s maneuverability. The body has been reinforced with stainless steel plates for extra strength. All ten units are equipped with the SKF central greasing system for extra care and maintenance.
We are very proud to have been awarded this large order from Urbaser. We can offer them ten unique vehicles with which they can perfectly perform their waste management services in all circumstances. We wish the drivers many safe kilometers with the new trucks!
