Two narrow-track vehicles will go into operation at Avalex in The Hague/Delft. The vehicles have a low and narrow body which makes them highly suitable for urban areas, narrow access roads and country lanes.
These agile vehicles have a pay load of almost 10 tonnes offered by the GPM IV body, which makes them a popular choice amongst operators looking to maximise rounds efficiency. Besides that it is less likely for drivers to make contact with the kerb or parked cars.
The unit will be put into operation for domestic waste collections. The fully automatic split lift can collect large clusters of two-wheeled containers swiftly. The vehicles are up to date with technological innovations to meet the latest emissions and safety needs in the industry.
The trucks have been bought by Vervoer and Materieel in Rotterdam and will be utilised by Avalex, a waste management company founded by the municipalities Leidschendam, Rijswijk and Voorburg in 2001. The region has a population of approximately 330.000 that will be served by high quality waste management services providing capacity to collect and treat around 110 tonnes of waste per year.
