These two ‘narrow-track’ vehicles have been delivered to Uitenhage Verhuur in the Netherlands. The vehicles have a Geesink GPM IV 14 m3 narrow body fitted with a full automatic split lift mounted on a DAF LF180 chassis. The result is a narrow, highly manoeuvrable RCV with a pay load of nearly 11t depending on the waste stream collected. The chassis has a small turning circle which makes it highly suitable for urban rounds moving through traffic and tight city streets.
The narrow-track vehicles have been built to Uitenhage’s specifications, ensuring it is totally up to date with technological innovations to meet the latest emissions and safety needs of the industry. Uitenhage is one of the largest rental companies in the Netherlands with more than 40 vehicles in their fleet. They only want new vehicles because they produce lower emissions and they can use them on all the collection routes in the Netherlands and Belgium.
