Geesinknorba Spain was present at the Tem Tecma exhibition that took place from 13 to 15 June in Madrid. We exhibited seven products from our range that are developed for waste management and street cleaning in ‘smart cities’.
Our first product is this hybrid Geesink rear loader with numerous ecological benefits. It produces no CO² emissions and is practically noiseless. This unit will be delivered to the Balearic company HERBUSA, which will use it on the island of Ibiza. This company has been using our hybrid units for several years now, a period in which they could test this innovative equipment thoroughly. The vehicle will provide its services for one of the three municipal waste collection contracts signed by the joint venture ‘Es Vedra’, made up by FCC Medio Ambiente and Ferrovial-Cespa Servicios.
Another innovative product is the 100% electric QUBE-E satellite vehicle on ISUZU chassis. This vehicle is equipped with nine lithium-ion batteries and can drive a maximum distance of 125 kilometers on a working day before the batteries need to be recharged. This vehicle does not generate CO² emissions and the noise emissions are very low, being able to work at any time of day. It is the ideal solution to collect waste and recyclable materials in narrow streets.
On display this AMS CL1-N side loader, with an impressive 25 m3 capacity, for the collection of the large containers you find on the Spanish collection routes. This unit is part of an order of two units placed by the municipality of Langreo, Asturias. The chassis is equipped with an Allison 3200R automatic transmission with retarder and is the first SCANIA Five Series chassis with ONE sideloader to be operated in Spain.
Also a very popular product is our PTO compactor from the Kiggen series. The compactor will be mounted on a 26t three-axle chassis. With the crane fitted between the cab and body the unit can handle underground containers fast and efficiently. The unit can transport a wide range of waste and recyclable materials.
From our street cleaning series we exhibited a vehicle with container washing system. This Tecme Minilimp features a multi-purpose comb lift for cleaning DIN 30700 and DIN 30740 containers. The unit has a 2,600 liter clean water tank and is mounted on a ISUZU P75 5.2 7.5 tons chassis. The advantages of this unit are its compact size, making it suitable to use in the narrowest streets.
The compact sweeper BOSCHUNG Urban S2 with a 2m³ capacity was also shown at our stand. Its compact dimensions make it the ideal sweeper to clean areas with restricted access and pedestrian zones.
Another sweeper that visitors could get to know is the COMAC HP6000 sweeper with a 6 m3 capacity. It is a unique unit, since it has a double action sweeping system, so one brush rotates continuously while the other two pick up the waste of the street with the sweeper suction unit. The suction system can collect large waste such as glass and plastic bottles, aluminum and steel cans. The continuous rotating brush can clean sidewalks and move around manhole covers on uneven paths, spaces where a single-action sweeper is not effective. One of the benefits of the machine is that it uses less water in the cleaning process compared to the machines of other competitors, saving app. 100,000 liters of water per year. Another benefit compared to other options available in the market is that all the wheels are steerable.
